They also remove blackheads and reduce the discoloration of the skin to an immense level. They also prevent acne from spreading.

The egg mask that is described here can be applied over the skin and be peeled off to get rid of blackheads. Let us see how to make it.

Preparation of Egg White Mask – Part 1

Step 1

Get some eggs, for example, let us take 3 eggs. Since we are going to use only the whites of the eggs, we need more eggs. You can chill the eggs to make it a little easier to peel.

Step 2

You can very well use the eggshell to separate the whites from the yolk. Crack the egg exactly at the center and perfectly remove its content so that the yolk is not disturbed.

With both, the halves of the shell, transfer the content from one half to the other by letting the white drip in a bowl and the yolk remaining in the shell itself.

After a few times of transfer, the yolk and white would get separated. Repeat the same process for the remaining two eggs and separate all the yolks and whites. You can cook the yolk and use the whites for the mask.

Step 3

You can separate the yolk from the white in many ways. Another easy way is to make the egg fall into your hand and dripping the white alone into a bowl while you hold the yolk between your fingers.

Some people would feel it nasty since the egg’s texture is a little sticky and the smell might remain in the hands. But this is yet another easy method.

You can simply crack the egg and make it fall into your hand while you place a bowl below the same. The white would easily slide through the fingers. Do the same process for the other two eggs too.

Step 4

Another method to separate the yolk from the egg white is to use an empty bottle. The bottle can be used to suck the yolk from the white and this is one of the most popular methods.

Crack the egg and pour the innards into a bowl. Open the empty bottle and press it so that some of the air escapes outside. Now place the mouth of the bottle directly over the yolk and release the press.

The air gets sucked inside and so does the yolk. You can bring the yolk outside the bottle by squeezing it again. Repeat the same process for the other eggs too.

Step 5

Now that we have our egg whites ready, we are starting the preparation of the mask. It is not necessary to beat the whites together but you can do it for getting good consistency and froth.

Step 6

Lemon is too good for the skin and it is always good to add a few drops of lemon juice to the mask mixture. Add a few drops of lemon juice so that the blackheads would become loose to wither off.

Step 7

Honey is a good exfoliating agent and you can prefer mixing it with this mask. It has good healing properties and prevents skin infection. Mix a teaspoon of honey into the white and whisk it.

Step 8

You can also add baking soda to this mixture. Baking soda has the property to exfoliate and clean the skin. It can blend the ingredients of the paste so that you can apply it with ease.

It can neutralize the ph value of the skin too. You can add just a tablespoon and increase the amount gradually if your skin gets accustomed to baking soda.

Apply Egg White to the Skin – Part 2

Step 1

Now we are going to apply the first layer of the egg white. Egg white can get rid of skin discoloration and remove the blackheads.

It nourishes the skin too. We are going to apply the mask over the face. The application can either be with the fingers or a brush.

Step 2

Now that the first layer has been applied, just let it be for a few minutes so that it dries. Our main aim is to apply as many layers as possible and peel them off together.

So it is mandatory to leave every layer to dry properly. Or else, the next layer would mix with the previous layer and both will remain damp.

Step 3

Instead of applying the white one layer over the other, you can try and use a tissue paper between each layer.

When you apply the second layer, you can apply it over the tissue so that the white would seep inside and reach your skin. Press the tissues so that they get stuck to the previous layer.

Step 4

When you find that the white layer and the tissue has dried well, you can apply another layer to the same. This would bond with the previous layer and the tissue. Add another tissue to the top of this layer.

Step 5

If you feel you have a lot of blackheads, then it is better to add more layers to the mask.

Now that you have applied the second layer, add a third layer of the mask over the second tissue. You need not paste a tissue over the third layer since you are not going to apply another layer over it.

Step 6

Let the third layer dry too. After you feel that you have done well with the mask, you can remove it by cleaning it with some water. You can rinse with cold or lukewarm water.

You can first try and peel the mask off your face. Since you have used a tissue, it would be easy for you. If you can’t then you can use water. Pat the skin with a dry towel to remove the water.

Step 7

You can find that the blackheads are gone for good. But if you have several small blackheads you might find some residue remaining. So, you can repeat the same procedure many times until you get rid of all the blackheads on your face.
