Your skin has multiple layers. The outmost layer is termed as epidermis and the layer underneath to it is called dermis.  Every time new skin cells are formed in the dermis layer, the unwanted dead old cells are pushed into the utmost epidermis layer.

Routinely, these dead old cells slowly shed from the epidermis layer. But some of these dead cells hang on for a long time in the epidermis layer.

Over exfoliation may cause skin irritation and damage. Over exfoliation causes the skin to dry out and the dry skin is prone to wrinkles. So avoid more than 2 times of scrubbing per week.

  • Take 3 tablespoons of dried green tea leaves.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
  • Add ¾ cup of olive oil and a teaspoon of honey in it.
  • Mix all the ingredients
  • Scrub your face for 10 minutes.

Baking soda acts as a natural exfoliate and removes the damaged dead skin cells. The pH level of baking soda neutralizes the alkaline nature of your skin. It is essential for oily skin people. Since it removes the excess oil from the face.

  • Take a tablespoon of Baking soda.
  • Add a teaspoon of Lemon juice.
  • Then add a teaspoon of Honey in it.
  • Mix these ingredients and make a fine paste.
  • Scrub your face for 5 minutes.

7. Orange Peel Face Scrub

The citrus rich orange peel nourishes your skin and provides smoothness to it. The antibacterial and anti-microbial properties of this peel, effectively treat the skin blemishes. Further orange peel works as skin lightening agent and removes the pigments and scars on your face.

Directions

Take an orange and peel out its skin. Let the peel dry for 2-3 days in direct sunlight. Then grind the orange peel and make it as a fine powder.

  • Add 3 tablespoons of dry orange peel powder in a bowl.
  • And 4 tablespoons of honey in it.
  • Mix well and make it as a paste.
  • Wash your face with fresh water (without soap).
  • And apply the paste on your face for 20-30 minutes.
