Peach Crumble Topping Recipe

Ingredients:

Peach Base

  • Jaggery – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – ½ tsp
  • Cinnamon sticks – 2
  • Peach (sliced with the skin) – 2

For the oats topping

  • Oats – 2 tbsp
  • Oat bran – 1 tbsp
  • Almonds (chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Walnuts (chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Raisins – 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon powder – ¼ tsp
  • Vanilla essence – ¼ tsp

Method:

Peach Base

  • Combine all the ingredients in ¼ cup water
  • Mix well and let it cook till peaches become soft

Topping

  • Mix oats, oat bran, almonds and walnuts and roast in a non-stick pan on slow flame till lightly browned
  • Cool it.
  • Add the raisins, cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.
  • Blend in a mixie for 30 seconds.

Peach Crumble

  • Spread the peaches on a lightly greased baking tray.
  • Sprinkle the topping over it.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 15 to 20 mins till the topping turns golden brown.
